I bought this to replace a worn out and more expensive pan. So far, this 10" skillet is holding up well and cleaning up easily. I'm careful to use it for relatively low-temperature work (eggs and pancakes), and clean it by hand. I'm hoping it beats the three-year average lifespan of other nonstick gear we've used.

First pan we ordered had a slightly domed surface, so food would not cook evenly. Contacted Amazon about problem and they took care of the exchange right away. They thought the replacement would take a few weeks due to low stock, somehow they were able to send it the next week. New pan works great and cooks evenly. I like the wieght of the pan. Price is on the higher end compared to most of Cuisinart's other pans.

hi i bought the cuisinart 12' muticlad non stick pan to replace a 12" food network non stick pan after only 6 months the food network pan was peeling and didn"t have anymore non stick properties left . the cuisinart pan has a quantimium finish which is very hard and you use less heat because it has an alunimun core sandwiches in between two stainless steel and the non stick coating .when you make pancakes it like the pan has ball bearings on it. nothing sticks just remember to let the pan cool completely and use liquid detergent to clean it. as for the outside of the pan i use barkeeper"s friend to keep it new looking. a excellent value for the money!

I have the 11 1/2" size and it's great, you can fit 2 grilled cheese sandwiches in it or 4 or 5 salmon cakes - to give you an idea of the size. It heats up and cooks evenly and browns up your food perfectly. I bought this to replace a Calphalon non-stick skillet that everything stuck to and was a nightmare to clean. This Cuisinart skillet is a nice weight, not too heavy like All-Clad, and not too light. It is SO easy to clean. The most you have to do is soak it a few minutes, then wipe it out.

Advise to other stainless steel newbies, it heats up much faster than non-stick or hard anodized cookware, so watch your heat - high is around 6 as opposed to 10. And you want to use some sort of oil, butter or spray to cook with, and put it a cool pan, not when it's heated up or it will burn onto the pan.

I look forward to cooking when I use this skillet and I plan to buy more from this line.

I needed brand new cookware and settled on going mostly stainless steel. I didn't want to spend a fortune on All-clad or Calphalon, though. After some research I settled on the Cuisinart Chef's Classic. This pan was the test case to see if I wanted to get other pieces in the set.

I was unused to stainless steel pans, but I used lower heat and polished it with Barkeeper's Friend to good effect.

It passed the grilled cheese sandwich test beautifully. The pan is solid and heats very evenly. This evening I browned some chicken breasts in it, sauteed some shallots and mushrooms, then deglazed the pan with white wine. A little half-n-half, reduce... chicken with a lovely mushroom sauce.

I couldn't be happier. I just ordered the 12" "everyday" pan of the same line, and have two pots in my wish list. I figure with one piece of non-stick and some cast-iron, I'll be pretty well set.

I was looking to replace the glass carafe that had broken. While the cost of this stainless carafe was more than I thought it should be (more than 1/3 the cost of the entire unit, including the glass carafe), the stainless carafe does hold the coffee hotter (for a while, but not for "hours"), longer than the glass. More importantly, I suppose, it doesn't break. Also, with the stainless carafe, the coffee pours out very slowly. I suppose that's due to the heat retention integrity built into the design of the plastic top part of the stainless carafe.

Even though this pot is not supposed to 'go' with my Cuisinart 12-cup (model #DCC-1200) Coffeemaker, I purchased it anyways. I cracked the original glass pot that came with the coffeemaker, and I didn't want another glass replacement. This carafe is 2 cups smaller than my 12-cup machine, so I have to remember that when I'm making coffee for crowds! However, I took the gamble and hoped that it would fit my machine...and it fits beautifully! My only complaint is that unless I pre-warm the carafe with hot water for a few minutes before brewing the coffee, the coffee only stays warm, not hot (even right after brewing). Hence, the 4 stars...

I had expected this pan to be awesome after I read all the reviews in various places. This pan exceeded those expectations.

Yes, it is a new way to cook from using a non-stick pan. But that isn't a bad thing and doesn't need to be scary. As others have said, hot pan, cold oil, then add your food and you should have no problem with sticking. Don't use high heat, only the medium/medium high that is recommended and you should again be in good shape.

This pan conducts heat excellently so the lower flame is truly all you need for perfectly cooked food. It heats up quickly and cooks you food well. My meal was cooked very evenly all the way through and it browned wonderfully.

People have compared these very favorably to all-clad. I've got to say, I whole heartedly agree. If you happen to have plenty of money to throw around on all-clad, then by all means. But if you have to be a bit more frugal but want similar quality, then go with this. It's awesome and I don't feel you lose any quality at all. Maybe you do, but despite the fact that I'm a quite experienced cook (although not a professional) I don't notice the difference at all.

I want to have more of these awesome pans. I'm working on a full set as they are wonderful and so gorgeous! Clean up is so easy with them.

I just recently got rid of all my old Farberware Millennium tri-ply (with the old tri-ply disk glued to the bottoms) and purchased a combination of Cuisinart Multiclad Pro and Calphalon Tri-Ply Stainless. I love them both! They are so similar that it really doesn't matter to me which I'm using. They clean up extremely well with Barkeeper's Friend, and I sometimes use a Scotch Brite pad too, but I have found that it does leave a little bit of light scratching on the pans. That doesn't bother me, because I don't display my pans. They go in the cabinets and cupboards and I cook with them every day. This 10" skillet is perfect for most of my skillet-cooking. I also purchased the Multiclad Pro 8" skillet in addition for when I need something small. The cookware is also extremely beautiful (both of these brands). I'm really thrilled with my purchases and am so glad I decided to make the switch. I will say that I prefer the see-through glass lids of the Calphalon over the stainless steel ones of the Cuisinart. The glass lids allow me to be able to keep the lids on more during the cooking time. These open skillets don't come with lids at all, so I'm using a previous Calphalon glass lid with my 8" skillet and a previous Farberware Millennium one with the 10" skillet. They work just GREAT! NO NEED to go and purchase highly over-priced individual Cuisinart lids.

I did a lot of research and bought two frypans, an 8" and 10". I did so based on a recommendation [...]. Our nonstick pans had deteriorated to a point I did not feel was safe. These pans work fine and will probably not require replacement. Two points. The handles are not as comfortable as I was led to believe, a minor point. I cook a lot with olive oil, and you have to be careful to use low heat, much lower than with nonstick, or a lacquer-like residue will form on the pan requiring diligent scrubbing with Bon-Ami to remove.

By the way, check out other cookware and you will find that you can not beat the price.

We bought this to replace old teflon set, after deciding

not to buy anything coated. Even tho I had glass covers

previously, I like the solid covers because they have no

porous ridges around the handles to catch grease, etc.

Pots cook on Medium as indicated, handles

stay cool, not heavy. Easy cleanup, even for things like eggs, when

you fill with soap and water after using, as recommended.

Stay shiny in the DW too.

If you need more pieces, it's best to go up a step,

as that's cheaper than buying extras individually. I got the 12

instead of 10 to get the extra deep-sided fry pan.

I really enjoy this cookware set, it was gotten to replace a rather awful wolf gang puck set. It is very good quality for the price you will be hard pressed to find a similar quality product in the same price range.

That being said out of the box I had a problem with the seams on the inside rim of the lids. Where the seam was it was indented- or actually bent in on two of the lids. I have pretty much convinced myself this part of the pan can not be steel, as it's way to pliable. My husband just pressed the seam back into alignment but I worry about how such a weak material will hold up in the long run.

My second issue is these pans tend to discolor very easily. Typically stainless cookware only discolors if it's mistreated, at least that is what I have experienced in using it. However, there is no keeping this set as pristine as I prefer it to be. Before typing this review I did a bit of an experiment. I had kept blaming the discoloration on the heat being up to high but not matter how low the heat was it still happened. So I cooked three different things on the lowest the burner would go with still being lit and everything still discolored the pans. The worst was from a 1/4lb of lean ground beef.

To keep these looking good I have to use a product like bar keepers friend and with four kids I hate products that add to my cleaning time. Since the appearance does not affect the performance of this product I gave it 4 stars.

I was cautious to buy online because I was afraid of getting this bottom cookware that didn't cook evenly. I decided to buy this set based upon what I have read about them. I have had this set for a month now.If you are looking to buy an expensive set don't even bother. This set is great. I cook every night with this set and haven't found anything to complain about. They cook very evenly, durable, clean up is very easy and they look great. I have had no problems with this set at all and if you are familiar with cooking with stainless steel I believe you will enjoy this set as much as I do and for the money you can't go wrong. We have had a RevereWare set for about 10 years and it was falling apart. I searched and found the Cuisinart 14 piece Chef's Choice set fit our needs. My wife wanted an all stainless set, but was hesitant with all the talk about difficult clean-up and burning of food. That couldn't be further from the truth with this set. We have used it every day for about a month now and have not come across any issues with clean-up or buring of food. I use a gas range and have no problem with heat control or having to use "half" the heat setting like other reviews suggest. We do plan ahead when moving from a boil to a simmer, as it takes time for the pan to cool down. Every pot I have ever used gets water spots from boiling with hard water and this is not a sore spot with me. The ONLY concern I have is that the set is made in CHINA and was not aware of this at the time of purchase. I am requesting that Cuisinart send me a written warranty that covers MATERIALS and NOT just workmanship. It has been quite evident from recent news items that CHINA has had an established history using/manufacturing with toxic chemicals (melamine in baby formula and lead paint in childrens toys for example). I hope that Cuisinart is assuring that the stainless being used is actually stainless and not a toxic brew with other heavy metals. I would reccomend this set to those who would like a good stainless set at a good price.

Actually, I bought this set for my son. He has become interested in cooking lately especially after drooling over the food network shows. (who doesn't?) He loves his new cookware, it is cuisinart quality and should provide many years of enjoyment. A big plus is that the set has a steamer insert, a must as far as I'm concerned. "Not Stamped 18/10" 2010-01-08

The set is not stamped and is considerably thinner than existing Cuisinart cookware that I have. The description clearly states 18/10, but the quality difference and lack of stamping make me think otherwise. The oven safe temperature on the description also differs from the oven safe temperature of "550" that comes in the packaging, which makes me question what set is being advertised. This set isn't cheap because it's a deal, it's cheap because it is cheaply made.
