 "Perfect eggs" 2010-08-19

This pan is fantastic. It's not too heavy, it's beautiful, and most importantly it cooks perfectly. I'm very happy with it. As for the people who had their food stick.. it's a shame that they probably don't know how to use stainless steel. You must have hot oil before adding your food. I've not had any sticking whatsoever. Also, the price at the moment can't be beat!

 "A really nice pan" 2010-06-27

I needed to replace my old nonstick T-fal set (a gift when I went off to college) and wanted to get stainless to avoid the teflon/nonstick issues. Like others, I thought about All Clad, but based on reviews here and on forums like Chowhound, I decided to order a couple of pieces of the multiclad pro to see if I liked it. I bought this 10" fry pan and the 1 1/2 quart saucepan. I was impressed by the thickness and quality of the pans -- they seem sturdy and well-made. 5+ years ago I bought a large Cuisinart pot that just had the disk on the bottom (probably the Chef's Classic line or something similar), and I never had any complaint with it, but these are just so much nicer (though the handles seem to be exactly the same across both lines). I would definitely buy more of the multiclad.

The first thing I cooked in the new fry pan was a steak, and it made a real mess of the pan -- totally brown and scary looking. But after the pan cooled, I just soaked it a bit and it cleaned up. (I do need to get the Barkeeper's Friend, though.)

As for the lid: it would have been nice if the fry pan had come with a lid, but if you have some older cookware and don't care so much about lids matching exactly, then you might have a lid that fits this. It seems like a pretty standard size -- I found that the stainless steel lid from my old T-Fal fry pan fits this pan, so I'll chuck the teflon pan but keep the lid.

"Love the pan - hate the customer service" 2010-05-28
By Lovesfood (Nebraska)
I owned this pan before I bought my expensive Electrolux range. That was when I realized that the pan did not sit flat on the cooktop. I called to send it back (lifetime warranty) and that is where the saga begins. The employee I spoke to discouraged me from sending it in. Went on and on about how much it was going to cost me to mail it back. I said the pan was worthless to me as-is (could void my cooktop warranty) so I might as well send it in. I waited about 4 weeks before calling to find out where my replacement was and I was told it "was being processed". Waited another 3 weeks and called back and was told this time "that item is on back-order, but should be in soon". Waited another 4 weeks and called back on 24-May and was told this time that " good news, it shipped on the 21st of May". I thought that was too much of a coincidence, so when I received my pan I did a UPS tracking on it. It was actually processed and shipped on 24-May! I HATE being lied to. It took ~12 weeks to get a replacement pan and I'm reasonably certain the whole "being processed" and "on backorder" was a lie too - designed to make it difficult to return a pan. With all the great quality pans out there, I will not be purchasing another Cuisinart - even though the new pan does sit flat. I also own many Cuisinart small appliances, but will be rethinking any additional purchases.
