I have the 4 1/2 inch version of this knife. It is the knife I reach for for almost any cutting in the kitchen. It has held a good edge for the last two years. A week ago, the end broke. I did not see it happen - just lost the end. My high-end German knives have other problems, so I'd say this is a very good deal in a decent knife for everyday use. Or you can pay $50 for a German knife that will probably bend at the tip after a few months (like mine do).
