I probably have purchased 6-8 different coffeemakers over the last dozen yers, looking for one that makes good tasting coffee (more a function of the coffee that I buy and not the coffeemaker, I note)and coffee that is hot. All to no avail, as the coffeemakers were less expensive and the coffee was not brewed hot enough. I was hesitant to spend the money to buy this coffeemaker. Don't make my misteak(!). Buy this one and enjoy it!!

This item replaced a Krupps maker we've had for a good many years which we throughly enjoyed.... This unit does a nice job brewing and has some very nice features associated with it. I don;t like having to take the plastic cap off the caraffe every time I use it...
Programmmable features are straight forward and easy to understand...
It'a a good looking unit that complements the kitchen countertop....

This was to replace a Mr. Coffee...lasted about 6 months this time. First thing I noticed was I needed to use less coffee. The shape of the filter basket is different in that the non-porous area is about a 1/2 inch by 2 inch strip at the bottom with the rest a netting material which allows for the coffee to be more saturated with hot water. Also, it has a circular hot-water dispersal instead of the singular little hole the others use...again, superior coffee.
The true test for me will be how long it lasts. we've had trouble getting a coffee maker to last over a year. This one comes with a 3 year warranty, so we're looking forward to a long relationship with it! So far, it really is the best coffee maker we've ever had!

I have always purchased a $25 coffeemaker. They were fine. This coffeepot makes great coffee. Small space to put the water in. No shaky hands will make it. Spout pours cleanly so that helps a lot. I like the coffee my new coffeemaker makes, and I hope to get many good years of use out of it.

we owned one. within a few months, it began to take so long to brew a pot of coffee, we needed to program it to brew almost an hour before we actually wanted coffee. we decided to finally donate it to my husband's workplace and we bought a new one. same problem. and, on top of the slow brewing, it leaked all over the countertop on many occasions.
we really took care of this coffeemaker... changed filters, regular cleanings, etc.
it's a shame that such an attractive coffemaker is such a piece of crap. DO NOT waste your money!
